I REALLY try to hold onto all of this too as I creep towards or past 40 weeks. Due dates are not deadlines…they’re kind of just guidelines. So as you approach or pass yours, here’s a reminder to remember that: • it’s really normal to be where you are • it’s really normal to have a cervix that hasn’t done anything yet • it’s okay to try things

Your estimated due date is just that - an estimate. Try ignoring the number and instead focusing on the month or season to help you not feel so anxious as the date approaches. Another important thing to consider is how far past your EDD your provider will "let" you go before encouraging induction.
