Dec 11, 2022 · On PC and my main phone I use the Beetle Saturn Core in Retroarch. Mednafen is the most accurate Saturn emulator there is but the Retroarch core based on it is easier to use. Put the Beetle Saturn core and my actual Saturn in comparison on the same TV and the only way I'd be able to tell the difference is because I'd made the setup.

The Saturn port has all of the Arcade version's sprites -as well as animations- intact. The ps1 version has a weird problem with its screen refresh rate. The Saturn port does not. On the latter, the image quality is very stable. The ps1 version runs at roughly half the frame rate overall compared to the Saturn version.
