The Skanderbeg Square (Albanian: Sheshi Skënderbej) is the main plaza in the centre of Tirana, Albania. The square is named after the Albanian national hero Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu. The total area is about 40,000 square metres. The Skanderbeg Monument dominates the square.

Now, Scanderbeg Square is an open space dedicated only for pedestrians. Layed with stone from all regions of Albania and fountains that repurpose rainwater, this project is meant to be a center piece for the city; uniting Albania as a country with the use of trees, plants, and greenery from every zone in Albania.

Spanning 40,000 square meters at the heart of Albania’s capital, Skanderbeg Square has fueled Tirana’s cultural and civic identity since its early 20th-century origins under Austro-Hungarian builders.

Skanderbeg Monument in Skanderbeg Square has been regarded for more than half a century as the very centre of Tirana. It commemorates the 15 th century nobleman, and hero of the nation for resisting the Ottomans.

It's is the main Square of Tirana. With lot of activities and Monuments/Buildings within that Square or just walking Distance. Skanderbeg statue is there aswell. Opera House and History Mueseum are also right at the Square.
