  1. 36 Volt EZ GO charger not working 28115 G04 - Buggies Gone Wild

Jul 21, 2011 · OOPS - ScottyB snuck in while I was typing - and I overlooked the part about trying charger on different cart. Still might be beneficial, so I won't delete. Welcome to the BGW Forum. If your battery pack voltage is too low, your PowerWise charger will not turn on. With the charger plugged into AC outlet, plug the charge plug into the cart.

  2. 3rd blue wire in charge plug - Buggies Gone Wild

Oct 28, 2019 · This provides you a charger interlock that keeps the car from running while the charger is plugged in. It also allows the controller to log charge history, collect charge data, and monitor total energy consumption. The E.R.I.C. charger will work fine without this wire connected, but you'll lose the functions I just mentioned.

  4. Troubleshooting power drive 2 charger - Buggies Gone Wild

Jun 26, 2014 · Ok, so I've been messing around with the charger on an old 48v cart I bought. I put a brand new set of batteries in, and they currently read 49 volts across the pack. When I plug in the charger, it clicks on and hums, but the ammeter doesn't jump at all. I've done all the tests in the PD2 manual, and everything seems fine.

  5. Bolt battery charger interlock question - buggiesgonewild.com

  6. Powerwise chger needle doesn't move - Buggies Gone Wild

Feb 6, 2016 · What is make/model of charger? It hums when plugged into cart, so that means the charger is sensing the battery pack, which in turn means that the fuse in the white wire going to the battery pack from the charge receptacle isn't blown. So there might be a blown fuse in the output of the charger, or blown diodes.

  7. Taylor Dunn slowing down...mistakes made - Buggies Gone Wild

May 30, 2014 · All of this information comes from the Trojan battery manufacturing company. Exchange the one bad battery and get yourself a better charger with auto shut off. Unless you are a scientist you are not going to properly care for the batteries with a manual charger. The result will be shorter useful battery life.

  8. 2018 lithium RXV interlock/reed switch and on-board charger

Nov 13, 2024 · From my reading, it seems to be a reed switch or interlock that prevents me from leaving the charger connected under the seat. I've had people tell me to cut the blue wire and connect it to battery positive. I've also been told that doing that on a lithium pack will confuse the cart and it won't recognize it's plugged in to charge.

  10. Minimum voltage for charger to detect - Buggies Gone Wild

Sep 20, 2019 · The max voltage a 12V charger will put out is up to about 15V, but the voltage it actually puts out while connected to a battery is determined by the battery's on-charge voltage at the time. The on-charge voltage rises as more and more AH are pumped into battery and 10.8V (2.70VPC) is about the max on-charge voltage for an 8V battery.
