Bill was 1970 Formula Vee World Champion Bill Scott. [3] The Sportscar Vintage Racing Association returned to Summit Point in 2023 after a two-decade absence. In addition to racing, the track became a training ground for various federal agencies and other security organizations.

Bill Scott Racing owns and operates near Charles Town, West Virginia, and offers a number of programs at that track, including Highway Safety, Recreational Driving Schools, Security Driver Training, Off-Road Driver Training, and Police Driver Training.

In the 1970s he started a competition driving school at Summit Point Raceway, later adding anti-kidnapping and counter terrorism training for chauffeurs. Perhaps most importantly, he created an accident-avoidance school for young drivers.

In 2009, Bill Scott and the Vintage Racers Group partnered to bring the Jefferson 500 back to Summit Point™ Motorsports Park. This annual event brings over 200 cars a year to Summit Point, WV for three days of racing including a test day and a driver’s school.
