Nationalmuseum owns about 500,000 prints and drawings from the late Middle Ages to the year 1900. Central to the collections are more than 2,000 master drawings that Carl Gustaf Tessin acquired during his time as Sweden's ambassador to France.

Nationalmuseum is Sweden's museum of art and design. It was founded in 1792, which makes us one of Europe's oldest museums of fine art. Our collections comprise paintings, sculptures, drawings and prints from 1500-1900 as well as applied arts, design and portraits from the early Middle Ages to the present day.

Purchase your entrance ticket online or at the museum itself. Your ticket grants you access to all temporary exhibitions as well as our collection displays. Free admission for visitors under the age of 20.
