Our undergraduate degrees blend a powerful liberal arts foundation with field-based knowledge and experiences. Over 40% of our Psychology and Neuroscience majors conduct research in faculty labs, and many participate in experiential learning outside the classroom.

Our Psychology Bachelor of Science degree is designed for highly motivated students who wish to pursue a career in industry or research. In our B.S. program, you will gain a deep understanding of modern psychology and the strategies and methods by which scientific knowledge is acquired in this field.

In our B.A. program, you have the opportunity to pursue a concentration or specialization in the field, such as human development, memory, and cognition, animal behavior, clinical psychology, or social psychology.

Psychology studies behavior, thought, and intelligence to understand the functioning of the brain and neural system. Psychologists study the mechanisms of perception, sensation, emotion, and learning, examining the biological and evolutionary foundations of animal and human behavior.

Our degree programs offer you the freedom to explore a variety of areas within the field. We organize our courses into “interest clusters” and you may select courses from any or all of those clusters, working with your advisor to ensure you are fulfilling the requirements for your degree.

We represent the largest major in the College of Arts and Sciences, with over 2,300 undergraduate students majoring in Psychology, Neuroscience, or Clinical Science. We also have nearly 1,000 students pursuing minors.
