Feb 22, 2019 · I had good results with the 3 TV's I brought from BB & their "Geek Squad Protection Plans". My original post can be seen in link below (msg #6 of #7). The current 58" 1080p Samsung I have still has about 22 months left on it. I did not buy a warranty for the Panny 1080p Plasma from Sears beacuse they wanted to much for a 2-4 year warranty.

I started a web chat with the rep who said he checked with his manager and was told they don’t offer a 5 year plan on this product. Anybody else ran into this? I bought a C9 in 2020 and was able to get the 5 year plan then.

Jun 1, 2021 · The geek squad plan can be fulfilled under the manufacturer warranty. If there is a known defect with your TV after the first year that's a warranty thing, the store can file it under the manufacturer, get you a new TV, AND your entire protection plan back.

Nov 29, 2022 · Somehow, instead of the usual $50/$80 for the 2/5 year Geek Warranty, the replacement is showing only 15/20 for the same coverage. Probably because the price is zero. 😂 So even I'm tempted. I'm assuming it will be honored , so in that case , would you guys spend the $20 for the 5 year ?

Nov 30, 2017 · The geek squad techs paid their first visit a couple weeks ago and confirmed it is indeed burn in. After a couple back and forth with the support line they booked another appointment and the guys ran the exact same test but since the burn in is permanent, they got the exact same results.
