Cut Lists properties and Smart Fasteners Question - Eng-Tips
Apr 26, 2006 · I'm using the smart fastener feature in my assembly (made up of several weldments). When putting a bolt through a hole, (holes created with the hole wizard) I'm not getting the option of a "BOTTOM STACK". As a result, I can't put the nut/washer on the end of the bolt. Is there something I'm doing wrong that I'm not getting the bottom stack option?

Aug 20, 2004 · After the smart fastener is created, when you go back into the property page, the option to flip will be gone. At that point, you need to redefine the mates manually. (Or at least, it works this way in SW2005 SP5.0.) Maybe that annoying behaviour is worth a bug report/feature request, if it's still present in current versions of SW.

Jan 16, 2009 · Yes, there are 2 blue undefined lines in the sketch that makes up the main portion of the part. I'm not sure how to fix it though. I have it dimensioned with Smart-Dimension, but it is still blue. Ill post it up if anyone would be kind enough to look at it for me. If I try rescaling up 100x it just crashes solidworks.

Assuming: 1) Boost pressure of 14.7 psi, 2) Turbocharger turbine and compressor -- 60% effciency, 3) exhaust gas temperature at the manifold -- 1700 deg F, 4) exhaust gas temp at turbocharger in back of car: 1200 deg F (the website said the turbocharger ran 500 degrees cooler in the back).

The whole process is very graphic and interactive and you can do quite some smart stuff with it. (you can watch plenty of videos on youtube about power query in excel).
