The Georgetown Car Barn, historically known as the Capital Traction Company Union Station, is a building in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C., in the United States.

There are classrooms in the Car Barn and nearby buildings that are owned by the University Registrar and managed through the Georgetown Event Space (Virtual EMS) request system. Use the Virtual EMS system to locate, check availability, and reserve.

Description / Usage Overview: The Car Barn 4th Floor Patio and Pavilion space (outdoor patio and covered pavilion in the center of the patio) is available for use by faculty and staff, and recognized University student organizations for University-sanctioned events.

Follow signs to “Car Barn 100.” The lounge is down four to five steps, and there is a handicapped wheelchair lift into the space. It has ample electrical connections, strong university Wi-Fi and a print station. There are also a limited number of free day-use digital lockers.
