Jul 22, 2016 · FreeCAD uses OpenGL. In 3D-CAD world normally stability against speed is preferred. Concerning FreeCAD for Windows. A lot of CAD-Workstations I know have NVIDIA Quadro-Graphic Cards (like the K2000 for example). At home i am using FreeCAd on a computer equipped with a AMD 7750 graphics card.

May 18, 2021 · Hi Friends, I wonder if is there a Luthiers community using FreeCAD for their designs. Many Luthiers uses F360 and Rhino, it is not easy to model guitars in FreeCAD, it requires a lot of calculations and surface modeling.

Dec 11, 2023 · Actually my first goal is not here. I just wanted to conduct my own CFD simulation but I don't have much money to get commercial CAD and CFD softwares. Thus I made aircraft 3D model with FreeCAD and conducted CFD with OpenFOAM. I say, you can make aircrafts with FreeCAD, but it is more difficult than using other commercial CAD softwares.
