"The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, heavy rain is still possible with this thunderstorm," states the NWS Blacksburg VA. The warning is in effect until 11:15 p.m.

The storm is expected to bring moderate to heavy snowfall across the state, affecting major roadways and travel plans.

An atmospheric river brought additional rain, strong winds, and flooding to the Bay Area Tuesday, and thunderstorms were threatening to add to the storm's impacts.
