After New York Mayor Eric Adams announced plans for a 2,000-bed migrant shelter in the Bronx, Rep. Ritchie Torres slammed the decision, accusing Adams of creating an immigrant “dumping ground."

Retrofitting the building for the new shelter will reportedly cost the Democrat-run sanctuary city between $250,000 and $340,000.

The Hall Street shelter in Brooklyn, which drew numerous complaints, is among several that will soon close in New York.
