Trail runner finishes as top American at Houston Marathon
On Sunday at the 2025 Houston Marathon, the top American finisher was trail runner Christian Allen from Orem, Utah. Allen, who won the Speedgoat 50K ultra-trail race in 2023, finished seventh overall, with a time of 2:10:32.

Warming buses will be located at five different locations along the 26-mile route Sunday, offering opportunities for runners to warm up. Free gloves also will be distributed during a pre-race event on Friday and Saturday.

In addition to the above closures, these streets will also be closed starting at 6 a.m. Jan. 19 for the Aramco Houston Half Marathon: Some freeway exit ramps will close down as well, including the 610 West Loop southbound exit to Hidalgo/Richmond and the I-69 southbound exit to Newcastle.
