‘Happy Gilmore 2' Casts Kym Whitley as the Golfer's Friend (Exclusive)
The titular golfer played by Adam Sandler in the Netflix sequel Happy Gilmore 2 has a new support system. Actress Kym Whitley has joined the cast of director Kyle Newacheck's comedy feature that is set to premiere later this year on the streamer.

The original 1996 movie starring Adam Sandler now has sequel, produced by Netflix, which released a teaser on Thursday showing some of the pro golfers who join Sandler and McDonald in “Happy Gilmore 2,” including Thomas, Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka and Will Zalatoris.

Returning to produce the sequel are Sandler, Tim Herlihy, Robert Simonds and Jack Giarraputo. Sandler and Herlihy wrote the screenplay for Happy Gilmore 2 after having penned the original film’s script.
