The Galaxy S25 is a tale of two AIs: Gemini and Bixby. Yes, while Google's Gemini AI assistant sits at the forefront—it can finally be triggered through a long press of the power button—Samsung is bringing its original Bixby voice assistant out from the shadows.

There's no stylus or four cameras, but they've got all the AI fixings, plus a base of 12GB of RAM on both Galaxy S25 models.

The displays are the same as last year: 6.2 inches on the S25 and 6.7 inches on the S25 Plus, peaking at 2,600 nits of brightness and 120Hz refresh rate. The cameras are identical, too. There’s a 50-megapixel main camera, an ultrawide, and a 3x telephoto, with a familiar 12-megapixel selfie shooter on the front.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra isn't about groundbreaking hardware upgrades but rather about software additions and making AI more contextual.

The Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra all feature rounded corners and minuscule bezels, but the real standout is the “cross-app AI” agent.

We all pretty much knew that's what would be featured at the show, and that's what we got. Just like last year, the prices start at $799, $999, and $1,299 for the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra, respectively.

Samsung has confirmed to Android Authority that the Galaxy S25 Slim is on the way, while also disclosing two launch markets.

On paper, the Galaxy S25 Ultra has the iPhone 16 Pro Max's number. The Galaxy S25 Ultra has 200MP wide, 50MP ultrawide, and 50MP telephoto cameras. The iPhone 16 Pro Max only has 48MP wide, 48MP ultrawise, and 12MP telephoto cameras, respectively. The more megapixels often equates to more detailed and higher resolution photos.

During a media briefing on the new S25 series last week, Samsung explained that customers rarely ever used the “Air action” gestures. So the company decided to try and cut costs by ditching them entirely.
