A fast-moving low-pressure system barreling into Massachusetts on Thursday is expected to bring a mess of wintry conditions, including up to 4 inches of snow, snarling traffic and forcing the closure of numerous schools across the state.

There is another snow storm on the way to Boston and most of Massachusetts this weekend. It's not a blizzard or a nor'easter but it will likely be more snow than we have had in one storm in years.The last time Boston received 6" or more in one storm was Feb.

Snow is already beginning in western Massachusetts as of 8 a.m. Thursday, and it will pick up in the eastern part of the state later this morning. The system is expected to turn into freezing rain this afternoon before tapering off in the evening hours,
