Pixxel, an Indian space tech startup backed by Google, has successfully launched the first three hyperspectral satellites of its commercial constellation Firefly.

A Bengaluru-based space startup has made history by giving India the first private earth imaging satellite constellation. The constellation -'Firefly' - has been developed by Pixxel.

Notably, with the launch, Pixxel has become the first private company in India to have its own constellation of satellites using the cutting-edge hyper-spectral frequency that allows observation of the earth in over 150 bands.
