Heavy rains, thunderstorms and strong winds are expected late Wednesday into Thursday as a powerful storm system impacts the islands.
The severe thunderstorms were moving towards the east-northeast, and were expected to lie near Tolaga Bay, Waimata, Kanakanaia and Tauwhareparae.
