The director of Tennessee State University's Aristocrat of Bands has been placed on administrative leave following an internal audit.

He removed Reginald McDonald from the position following an internal audit by the Board of Trustees' Audit Committee. NBC-affiliate WSMV in Nashville said the decision to remove McDonald from the position stems from outstanding travel requisitions and advances, as well as a lack of compliance with the university's policies and procedures.
