Between personal observation and some internet rumblings about the quality of the technology employed by the new tech-driven indoor golf league he co-founded with Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy decided recently to put TGL’s simulator through his own test.

Rory McIlroy has suggested that the PGA Tour could scale back the number of tournaments it stages each year in order to combat “fatigue” among golf’s fanbase.

Rory McIlroy said Tuesday he understands how the golf consumer might be fatigued with all the different forms of the game that now exist and even suggested lessening the number of events on the PGA Tour could help.

Rory McIlroy believes that golf fans could become "fatigued" by the wealth of options available to them and suggests there are "definitely too many" events on the current PGA Tour schedule.
