An 18-year-old man from Lancaster, California, was sentenced to four years in prison Tuesday for hundreds of “swatting” calls in which he made false threats of violence across the country.

Alan W. Filion, 18, was sentenced to four years in prison for conducting over 375 swatting incidents across the U.S.

The 18-year-old made hundreds of "swatting" calls around the country, attempting to draw out large police responses.
