Portland Fire is battling a 2-alarm structure ... and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. MAX Orange and Yellow lines were disrupted due to the fire, TriMet says.

TriMet renamed the Portland Avenue MAX Yellow Line Station for Rosa Parks in 2009, and in 2020, the Board of Directors passed a resolution declaring Feb. 4 as Rosa Parks Day.

TriMet has been offering free rides on the date since 2020, and named the Portland Avenue MAX Yellow Line Station for her in 2009. Parks died in 2005, at the age of 92.
