Family, friends, fellow police officers, and the public bid farewell to Officer Jason Roscow Thursday during a procession and funeral for the North Las Vegas officer who was killed in the line of duty.

The length of the procession spoke to the depth of the community’s grief over the loss of a lifelong public servant.

North Las Vegas Police Sgt. Daryl Reitz met Jason Roscow in 2007 when they entered the police academy. They spent 20 weeks together in the academy, launching a friendship that continued when they joined the department.
