During a routine traffic stop last week on Trans-Canada Highway, the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Roving Traffic Unit pulled over a large cargo van that turned out to be carrying more than 1,500 pounds of illegal cannabis. The unit was making “proactive” patrols around 11 a.m. on Jan. 9 when it stopped the van, said the RCMP in a news release issued Monday.
