Trump fired the head of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and dismissed all members of the Aviation Security Advisory Committee as well last week. The Aviation Security Advisory Committee was created by Congress in 1988 after the PanAm Flight 103 bombing.

Trump left more questions than answers in his expletive attacks on Democrats and diversity practices during Thursday's press conference.

The video, set to “Bad to the Bone” by George Thorogood, drew condemnation. “Kash Patel, Donald Trump’s pick for FBI Director, shared an AI-generated video of himself chainsawing Members of Congress, political opponents, and media outlets. Dangerous and disqualified,” Judiciary Democrats tweeted Saturday.

Buttigieg pointed out that the U.S. hadn't had a deadly airline crash in 16 years and that Trump fired "key personnel who helped keep our skies safe."
