Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin (lower body) has been labeled as week-to-week. The veteran star left Saturday's contest against the Seattle Kraken with a lower-body injury and seems set for another stint on the sidelines.

The three Cup rings — from Penguins championships in 2009, 2016 and 2017 — were initially believed to have been missing.

Malkin, now in his 19th NHL season, has recorded nine goals and 25 assists in 47 games this year. Career-wise, the Russian has won three Stanley Cup titles with the Penguins and an Art Ross Trophy, recently hitting the 500-goal plateau (something only 48 players have done) in Pittsburgh.
