Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Zack Baun picking off Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was a pivotal moment during this year’s Super Bowl. The second-quarter interception put the Eagles in prime field position to keep running up the score on Kansas City before halftime, making it harder for the Chiefs to get back into the contest.

Baun's pick set the Eagles up with a first down just inside the 15-yard line, and it would not be long until Jalen Hurts connected with A.J. Brown for a touchdown to extend the lead to 24-0 just before halftime. From there, it was cruise control until the finish line.

Baun was an AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year finalist and continued his strong play during Super Bowl LIX at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans after intercepting Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

According to Wisconsin football's Nate Jelinek, Baun is only the second former Badger to record an interception in the Super Bowl, following Buffalo Bills cornerback Nate Odomes in Super Bowl XXVIII.
