Amateur team Bourgoin-Jallieu upset five-time winner Lyon in a penalty shootout to reach the French Cup round of 16 on Wednesday and home fans celebrated the shock result with a pitch invasion. Alexandre Lacazette and Corentin Tolisso had their efforts denied after the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

Lyon are knocked out in the last 32 of the Coupe de France on penalties by an amateur team from the fifth tier of French football.

Two late goals from Bradley Barcola and Goncalo Ramos spared the blushes of defending champion Paris Saint-Germain who booked their place in the last 16 of the French Cup with a nerve-jangling 4-2 win at fifth-tier Espaly on Wednesday.
