African elephant who lived at Oakland Zoo for decades has diedA beloved African elephant who spent decades at the Oakland Zoo has died. The Oakland Zoo announced Friday that Donna the African elephant died suddenly at the elephant sanctuary in Tennessee.
Osh arrived in the sanctuary on Oct. 18, 20 years after the male African elephant was sent to Oakland Zoo from the Howletts Wild Animal Park in England, based on the website of The Elephant Sanctuary.
