Former Detroit Lions and current Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford was asked about retirement after the Rams' loss to the Eagles.

A few weeks shy of his 37th birthday and after 16 seasons in the league, Stafford has been the subject of retirement speculation in recent years. Asked about his future plans following the loss Stafford told reporters in Philadelphia that he would “take some time to think about it.”

During his professional career, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has been one of the most dependable quarterbacks in the National Football League.

Stafford was traded to the Rams from the Lions in January 2021 in what was a franchise-altering move for both teams, with Detroit landing quarterback Jared Goff in the swap. The Rams went on to win the Super Bowl in Stafford’s first season out West.
