It's been about 40 years since the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament in The Karate Kid. In Season Six of Cobra Kai, which released it flashback-filled trailer Monday, longtime rivals Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) set aside their long-standing resentment to take things back to the mat where it all began.

Actor Ralph Macchio, who rose to fame in the 1984 movie “The Karate Kid,” joins TODAY to talk about part 3 of Season 6 of the Netflix series “Cobra Kai.” He also talks about teaming up with Jackie Chan in the new movie “Karate Kid: Legends” as well as starring in a “Coldplay” video.
