New ‘Bridget Jones’ movie opens Valentine’s Day. Why it won’t be in U.S. theaters.
The movie, directed by Michael Morris (“To Leslie”), is based on the 2013 book of the same name by Bridget Jones author Helen Fielding, who co-wrote the screenplay with Abi Morgan and Dan Mazer. Universal Pictures is distributing the film in theaters outside the U.S.
