Wolves have signed centre-back Nasser Djiga from Red Star Belgrade on a deal until 2030. The 22-year-old Burkina Faso international has made 27 appearances for Red Star Belgrade this season, including all eight games in the Champions League group stage.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have signed centre back Nasser Djiga from Red Star Belgrade and midfielder Marshall Munetsi from Stade de Reims, the Premier League said early on Tuesday at the close of the transfer window.

PSV took a giant step towards the knock-out stages of the Champions League after hanging on for the points in a match that turned on Ryan Flamingo’s red card. The defender ended up making headlines for the right reasons after his flashing volley from a corner just before half-time proved the difference between the two sides.

Djiga played 56 games for Red Star, including all eight in the league stage of this season's Champions League, and scored four times. His standout performances included a goal and an assist in a 3-2 loss to PSV Eindhoven in January, while he received widespread praise for his display in a key Champions League qualifier against Bodo Glimt.

Forest aim to ensure head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has the resources to compete at the top of the Premier League table. They are currently offering €9M for Djiga, which is slightly below Red Star's asking price of €10M. Talks between the two clubs are ongoing, with international sporting advisor Miran Pavlin playing a key role.
