In the days leading up to Monday’s inauguration, as the new administration celebrated in Washington, D.C., Ivanka Trump and incoming Second Lady Usha Vance showed up to celebrity events in custom gowns from the New York-based label Oscar de la Renta.

Fashion fans are planning to boycott Oscar de la Renta after the designers dressed Ivanka Trump for an inaugural dinner before her father’s swearing-in ceremony on Monday (January 20).

The fashion label has a long history of designing gowns for prominent figures, including former First Ladies Hillary Clinton and Jacqueline Kennedy.

Trump's look involved orchid applique in a camel-coloured cashmere coat over a jewel-button detailed dress of the same tone. She was seen styling the clothes during her arrival into D.C as she stepped off of a private jet alongside her family.
