Judge Aileen Cannon said on Monday that she would not block the release of the special counsel Jack Smith’s report on his investigation into Donald Trump and efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

Judge Aileen M. Cannon, a Trump appointee who had dismissed the documents case in its entirety, temporarily barred the Justice Department from releasing Jack Smith’s account of his investigation.

Even after the resignation of the special counsel, the Florida jurist resists releasing his summation of the classified documents prosecution.
