Trail runner finishes as top American at Houston Marathon
On Sunday at the 2025 Houston Marathon, the top American finisher was trail runner Christian Allen from Orem, Utah. Allen, who won the Speedgoat 50K ultra-trail race in 2023, finished seventh overall, with a time of 2:10:32.

How to Watch the Houston Marathon and Half Marathon
You can watch the Houston Marathon and Half Marathon on Sunday, January 19 on ABC13 from 6:30-10:00 a.m. CST. You can also stream the event live via abc13.com or on ESPN+. The half marathon elite field will start at 6:45 a.m. CST, followed by the elite marathoners and open runners at 6:55 a.m. CST.
What streets will be closed for the Chevron Houston Marathon, Aramco Houston Half Marathon?
In addition to the above closures, these streets will also be closed starting at 6 a.m. Jan. 19 for the Aramco Houston Half Marathon: Some freeway exit ramps will close down as well, including the 610 West Loop southbound exit to Hidalgo/Richmond and the I-69 southbound exit to Newcastle.
