A gas leak in a four-inch main caused the closure of several streets near downtown Georgetown and the evacuation of 388 people, officials said.

Some Georgetown drivers may be met with road blocks Wednesday morning due to a gas leak. The Georgetown Police Department said around 10:20 a.m. that a gas leak on University Avenue had caused responders to shut down the road between Austin Avenue and Church Street.

Fire officials said just after noon that crews were on the scene of a gas leak at a building near the intersection of Southeast 92nd Avenue and Foster Road, and a full evacuation was underway. A KGW photographer found firefighters outside of Oliver Station, a five-story affordable housing complex.
