An airline from South Korea is introducing a ban on carrying power banks in carry-on luggage. This is a consequence of a plane fire on the runway in January. Air Busan, a South Korean airline, has announced a ban on carrying power banks in carry-on luggage placed in the overhead bins.

South Korea's Air Busan will not allow passengers to keep power banks in luggage stored in overhead cabin bins, in what on Tuesday it called a preemptive measure after one of its planes was engulfed in flames last week.

Hong Kong expert says expansion of measure to other airlines will depend on further risk assessments by trade groups and carriers.
