While it may be busy in June, I can’t imagine that you’d have trouble getting in. Make sure you go to the big museum in Caen, it’s amazing.

I have noticed that taking photos inside the memorial is not permitted, is that correct? As we will visit the memorial before heading to the beaches I will have camera gear with me, can I take my backpack into the memorial? Thank you in advance.

I really do not know of there's a ban on it as I was able to take some pictures with no flash
