We did the Postcard Tour at the base of the Hoover Dam. Our guide, Sarah, was very engaging and knowledgeable. She told us so many interesting fun facts! It was a very pleasurable adventure.Full review by 41skrd

The rafting down the Black Canyon from Hoover Dam was okay. The scenery was interesting with the only drawback being that it got somewhat monotonous as it really didn’t vary much.Full review by Bruce S

You can wade into the river during the brief stops and some guests do wear swimwear. The majority wade rather than swim and wear light summer clothing (shorts & Ts), however. The water temperature is between 50 and 60 degrees Fahrenheit -- refreshing but a little cool.

What is the best can clothing to wear on this tour?
A:
It's hot this time of year so loose, comfortable clothing is a must. Remember the sunblock for any exposed area. One application will last the whole tour and effectively prevent UV damage.

Yes. There is ample help available and the raft allows comfortable seating. There are a couple of stops made along the river where the raft pulls up onto a sandy beach. Some guests get off to wade in the river to cool down (water temperature is between 55 and 60 degrees F) but many stay on the raft. If you decide to alight, there is help available from the guide..
