I've never been to an amusement park ever, so this might be a dumb question. Can you take water bottles or a small bag on rides? Or is there a place to store stuff like that? Thanks!

All rides have an area for stuff to be placed while on a ride. I carried a small purse with me and placed in their bins when riding
