This is not an ideal trail for kids, because there are too many steep drops, & many tripping hazards. I was clenching my son to slow down the last quarter mile. Other than that the trail was perfect. Full review by brib206

If you're used to hiking, it probably won't take you more than an 1.50 hrs to do the out & back. Of course you definitely want to allow yourself some time at the actual point since the view …

If you're used to hiking, it probably won't take you more than an 1.50 hrs to do the out & back. Of course you definitely want to allow yourself some time at the actual point since the view is stunning! Most of the trail is easy with it going downhill at the end so there's a climb back up returning to the parking lot. Caution if you're doing this at dusk since in the summer months, copperheads are out about that time so be careful.
