The Town of Orange Park was founded in 1877 by the Florida Winter Home & Improvement Company. The Town has a rich history dating back to the late 1700s when it was known as Laurel Grove. Zephaniah Kingsley operated his plantation here for many years before it was burned to the ground in 1813. Since those early days, the Town has grown dramatically and has developed as the northeastern gateway to Clay County. The new Town Hall built in 1995. Town Hall Park facilities include an Inclusive Playground, picnic tables, grills, band stage and restrooms.
