Big waves that scared my wife to death as my son and I boogie boarded. Quiet beach with the only downside being no lifeguard, so my wife felt like she had to watch us in the waves.Full review by Golfsloth

The waves at Slaughterhouse can be quite big in November... it depends how good you are at Boogie Boarding. Snorkeling is better at Honolua Bay which is right ‘next door’ to Slaughterhouse. I’ve seen people snorkel at Slaughterhouse, but you need to get through the big waves first and it could be ‘dicey’ near the rocks (which is where the good snorkeling will be... near the rocks on the right side of the beach going towards Honolua Bay). If you want calmer water and great reef / snorkeling in Nov, try Airport Beach (north of Blackrock right in front of the Westin Oceanfront Villas).
