The park starts with a playground then group areas under the trees. The kid day campers sounded like they were having a great time. We got off the paved path and took to the unpaved trails. It was as… Full review by kimw8too

The garden is wheelchair accessible, though quite small. Some paths in the park are WC accessable, too- paved and flat. There is a tiny one lane road through the park. It is very step but I've known people in motorized chairs to loop through the park, combining the road and the paved trails, especially on Mondays or any day after 4pm when the road is closed to vehicles. If you have those big all terrain tires you can see even more. Neither the park not the garden have chairs to rent. The zoo next door (a far more animal friendly place than most zoos) has chairs they will lend guests on a first come, first serve basis, but they are only for use in the zoo. They have several and I've never known them to run out. Sequoia Park, garden &zoo, the Hammond trail, Hiksari' trail, and Headwaters Forest are the best places in the area to go hiking with a wheelchair or stroller.
