It is absolutely worth it to see Old Town, Alexandria after your sightseeing in DC. As a matter of fact, it is the perfect place with many unique shops and restaurants and a beautiful waterfront by the Torpedo Factory. The air has a certain happy jive in it. Definitely don't miss it!
There are several places up and down the street. It parks at the east end and then stops at different corners. I picked up s bunch of people in front of my hotel also.
